Finally created a blog

- Nazarenko Mykyta

Why?

Among system-sofware developers, I’ve met a lot of people who maintain their own blogs; they’re simple, minimalist and informative. I’ve been thinking about starting my own blog for a while, and finally, I decided to give it a go.

Moving on OpenBSD. How it was?

My old server was running Ubuntu LTS 24.04 and the only thing I can say is that it was the last straw, it’s a terrible distro and it’s a terrible experience. Why didn’t I migrate the server to OpenBSD earlier? Good question. And I can’t give a precise answer. On the one hand, I could have done it earlier, but for some reason I never got around to it, and only now have I been able to implement it. The funniest thing about this whole story is that I use OpenBSD as my daily-driver :D

Conclusion

I’m happy to see that my server runs OpenBSD. It’s working perfectly. Server setup was quite easy and fun.
